Illuminating the benefits of pace lights

Welcome to SwimParentOntario's guide to pace lights! This page will introduce you to the value and use of pace lights, a technology not commonly seen but with significant potential benefits for your swimmer's development. Understand how pace lights can revolutionize training and help your child excel.

Understanding pace lights

Pace lights are typically a 25M or 50M strip of LEDs placed in the pool. Swimmers are tasked with staying with the illuminated light. These lights can be programmed for various distances, speeds, and rest intervals, allowing swimmers to learn about maintaining pace, improving turn speed, and managing fatigue effectively.

Addressing parental concerns

One of the biggest challenges is that most parents haven't witnessed pace lights in action and, therefore, are unaware of the significant value they bring to a club's program. We hope this introduction sheds light on the advantages and encourages you to explore their potential.
